Nothing to set. iMessage and FaceTime run over whatever data your phone has, tied to your Apple ID and your regular number. Once the MTN Travel eSIM line is selected for Cellular Data, they work as they did at home. Your plan has no number of its own, and they don't need one from it.
Green bubbles instead of blue, or FaceTime won't connect? Check three things. First, that data works at all. If nothing else loads either, it isn't an iMessage problem; see eSIM not working: no data after landing. Second, Settings > Messages > Send & Receive. It should list your Apple ID and your home number, both checked. If your home line is switched off entirely, iMessage may need to re-verify the number. Turn the line on, leave its data roaming off, wait a minute, and it comes back. Third, toggle iMessage off and on in Settings > Messages if it's still reconnecting.
Photos and videos that won't send are usually Low Data Mode holding back large attachments. Turn it off for the MTN Travel eSIM line: Settings > Cellular > your MTN Travel eSIM > Low Data Mode.
Your plan is data only, with no phone number, calls, or SMS. Calls and texts keep using your home number.
