Dial *#06# on your phone's keypad. If a 32-digit number labeled EID appears, your phone has eSIM hardware. It also needs to be carrier-unlocked, and a few regional models ship without eSIM even when the same model has it elsewhere. Check before you buy, not after.
MTN Travel eSIM plans work on iPhone XS and later and on most Android flagships released since 2019. Your phone also needs to be carrier-unlocked. Check your exact model on the device compatibility page before you buy.
The dial code works on iPhone and almost every Android brand, and it's the same check we use. If the check says your phone can't take an eSIM, don't buy a plan for it.
If you bought a plan and your phone fails this check, you get a full refund as long as the plan was never added to a device. Still not working? Contact MTN Travel eSIM support and include four things: your ICCID, your order number, your phone model and OS version, and what you've already tried.
